BUCKLETONS HOUSE

Buckletons Beach

Contemporary coastal renovation

Residential build

Designed by Cheshire Architects, this architectural home at Buckletons required an exceptionally high level of accuracy throughout construction. While compact in footprint, the project incorporates a significant amount of bespoke detailing, concealed elements and specialist materials, requiring close coordination and accuracy across every stage of the build.

A custom material palette defines the home, including custom yellow cedar cladding, Purpleheart timber fascias, decking and integrated seating, iroko timber joinery, and pilularis sarking and flooring. Birch cabinetry and wall linings feature throughout the interior, complemented by Otsumigaki plaster finishes. Concealed blinds housed within the iroko window frames maintain clean sightlines and uninterrupted detailing, while large glass sliding doors are concealed within wall cavities, allowing openings to disappear when fully retracted.

At the centre of the home is a double-sided Kolumba brick fireplace that extends through to a custom Rumford outdoor fireplace, creating a striking architectural feature connecting the home’s indoor and outdoor living spaces. The combination of specialist materials, concealed construction details and finely detailed junctions required a consistently high level of craftsmanship throughout the project.

This project reflects Brackenridge Builders’ experience delivering highly detailed architectural homes where precision, material execution and high-end workmanship are central to the outcome.
