Contemporary coastal renovation
Residential build
This bespoke residential home in Omaha is a contemporary coastal renovation of an existing Andrew Patterson-designed house. Built by Brackenridge Builders, the project transforms the original home into a highly resolved modern residence, delivered within a compressed five-month build timeline.
Working closely with Summich Chaplin Architects, Sonia Cotter Interiors and landscape designer Jared Lockhart, the build brings together a refined palette of travertine, Otsumigaki plaster, stained oak flooring and cabinetry, terrazzo and solid plaster. The architecture is defined by complex curved walls and seamless transitions between interior and exterior spaces. A glass roof above the main ensuite draws natural light deep into the plan, enhancing the sense of openness throughout.
The project required a high level of coordination and technical precision, particularly with the helicopter installation of stone cabinetry onto the roof deck. This carefully managed solution allowed materials to be placed without impacting completed areas while resolving access and structural constraints.
This project reflects Brackenridge Builders’ experience delivering high-end residential homes in Omaha and across the wider coastal region.
