Residential Build

Set in Omaha, this renovation reworks an existing Andrew Patterson home into a highly resolved contemporary coastal residence, delivered within a compressed five-month build timeline.

Working closely with Summich Chaplin Architects, Sonia Cotter Interiors, and landscape designer Jared Lockhart, the build required precision across a restrained palette of travertine, Otsumigaki plaster, stained oak floors and cabinetry, terrazzo, and solid plaster. The architecture is defined by complex curved walls, seamless interior–exterior transitions, and a glass roof above the main ensuite that draws natural light deep into the plan. One of the most technically demanding aspects was the helicopter installation of stone cabinetry onto the roof deck. This carefully coordinated solution protected finished spaces while resolving access and structural constraints. The home now sits as a calm, materially rich expression of craft and coordination, where architectural intent, interior detailing, and landscape are tightly aligned.
