This bespoke residential home in Omaha Beach is a contemporary coastal architectural build designed to capture expansive views across the beach and ocean. Built by Brackenridge Builders, the home is carefully positioned to face north, maximising natural light while strengthening its connection to the surrounding coastal environment.

Working alongside Sumich Chaplin Architects, the design features handcrafted cedar screening that wraps the home, creating a soft, filtered light throughout the day while providing privacy and protection from coastal conditions. Clerestory windows introduce additional natural light into the living spaces, enhancing the sense of openness and reinforcing the connection between interior and exterior living areas.

The build required careful execution to achieve the refined finish across a consistent material palette, supporting the client’s vision for a coastal home with a sense of quiet luxury. Attention to detail throughout ensures a cohesive outcome where architecture, light and material selection work together.
