THOMAS HOUSE, OMAHA BAY

This bespoke residential home in Omaha Bay is a contemporary coastal beachfront build designed as a durable weekend retreat. Built by Brackenridge Builders, the home responds directly to the harsh Omaha environment while providing a comfortable and practical space for a busy young family. 

Zinc cladding and honed blockwork were selected to withstand the exposed coastal conditions, while also creating a strong, refined exterior. Inside, the home balances function with high-end detailing, including bunk and media rooms alongside frameless glass interior doors, honed stone flooring and opening louvre roofs. These elements allow the home to adapt easily between relaxed family living and entertaining, with strong indoor and outdoor connection. 

Built for longevity in a beachfront setting, the project required careful material selection and precise construction to ensure durability against salt air and coastal weather. The result is a robust, well-executed home that maintains its finish while supporting the demands of frequent use as a family retreat.
