Contemporary beachfront architectural

Residential build

Award
National Finalist – Master Builders house of the year competition, $2 million plus category

Located on the beachfront at Point Wells, this residential home is a contemporary architectural build defined by bold materiality and refined detailing. Built by Brackenridge Builders, the home delivers a strong visual presence while maintaining a sense of balance and cohesion throughout the interior spaces.

Working alongside Pacific Environments Architects and Trinity Interior Design, the build combines honed concrete block and copper cladding to create a durable and distinctive exterior. Inside, French oak flooring, a sweeping stainless steel staircase and a subterranean wine cellar contribute to a layered and high-end living environment. The design focuses on achieving a seamless finish, with minimal trim and carefully resolved junctions that enhance the overall clarity of the architecture.

The complexity of the project required a high level of planning and precision, particularly in working with a range of specialised materials and detailed finishes. New construction approaches and detailing were developed throughout the build to ensure the architectural vision was achieved without compromise.

This project reflects Brackenridge Builders’ experience delivering high-end residential homes in Point Wells and across the wider coastal region.

“This project was always going to be a complicated and substantial build, to create the architect’s vision within the constraints of time and space. The use of a variety of different and unusual materials, and detailed finishes meant that construction had to be very carefully thought through with new techniques and details developed. The team handled this challenge admirably. Their focus was always to achieve the desired end result without compromise.” - Brent and Debbie Forman
